ACTIVE ATTACKER PREPAREDNESS

The unfortunate reality is that workplace violence incidents are increasing in the United States. We cannot be shocked anymore when such an incident occurs and must eliminate the mindset of the "It can't happen to me", and "I cannot believe it happened here."

Individuals and organizations must be equipped to prevent these events from happening in the first place. And, despite measures taken, if an event does occur, implement a response that limits the damage, both physical and mental, to employees, families, and the organization. The intent is not to elicit fear and panic, but to build awareness in order to identify possible warning signs, and to help organizations and employees develop a response plan in a flexible, systematic manner in order to account for the many situations that may arise.

This training will provide organizations and employees effective, flexible options on how to prepare for, respond to, and survive a workplace violence event.
