Iowa DOT Flagger Training

Controlling traffic through work areas is one of the most important – and dangerous – operations in construction maintenance.  The primary objective of is to train flaggers to provide safe passage of traffic through and around work areas and to minimize confusion by bringing standard flagging procedures to our nation’s highways. This program will have crew members trained and certified in safe flagging techniques in just two hours.

This training course is a requirement for all those employed as a Flagger in the state of Iowa prior to flagging operations.

Each attendee will receive a copy of the Iowa DOT Flagger’s Handbook.

Upon successful completion of the 4 hour flagger training you will receive a card so that you can conduct flagging operations in the state of Iowa. 


Cancellation without penalty may be made up to five working days prior to the seminar date.  Cancellation after that date will be charged 50% of the fee.  You may avoid this charge by transferring your registration to another person.  Registrants who do not cancel are liable for the entire fee.  ALL REFUNDS WILL BE IN THE FORM OF A CREDIT VOUCHER.  This cancellation policy is standard with all Iowa-Illinois Safety Council sponsored programs.
