Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP)

Aerial lift platforms such as boom lifts, scissor lifts and stock pickers, are called Mobile Elevating Work Platforms or MEWPs. MEWPs can be found in a variety of work settings. They are often used in place of ladders and scaffolds as they allow easier and safer access to places on the worksite especially when working at higher elevations.
This training program covers the OSHA general industry and construction standards, along with the updated ANSI 92.22 and ANSI 92.24 requirements for Safe Use of MEWPs and includes the following:
- MEWP classifications
- New safety design features
- Safe use plan
- Inspections (Frequent, annual, pre-start and worksite)
- Risk assessment
- Qualifications and training
- Operating requirements and more
Cancellation without penalty may be made up to three working days prior to the seminar date. Cancellation after that date will be charged 50% of the fee. You may avoid this charge by transferring your registration to another person. Registrants who do not cancel are liable for the entire fee. ALL REFUNDS WILL BE IN THE FORM OF A CREDIT VOUCHER. This cancellation policy is standard with all Iowa-Illinois Safety Council sponsored programs.
