Fall Protection Competent Person Training(Registration Closed)

This is a two day class instructing employees to serve as a competent person in fall protection for their employer.  



Certification

Students who successfully complete the course and pass the written test will receive a Competent Person Certificate. Please note per ANSI standards, the certificate is valid for a period of two years. 

Competent Person training will meet the training requirements to allow successful participants to perform the duties as described by OSHA and ANSI.  Competent Person may train authorized users and competent inspectors.

Lunch is included with registration.

Meet the Trainer
Mark S. Damon - President - Damon, Inc. 
Mark Damon is the President of Damon, Inc., a fall protection training and consulting company in Brookings, Oregon and has been active in the safety industry since 1975.  Mark has performed fall protection training for many companies, including: Boeing, Spirit Aerospace, Peter Kiewit, PepsiCo, Raytheon, OSHA, Harley Davidson, and Cargill.  He has also produced a top selling fall protection training DVD entitled, “How Safe Is That Safety Belt?”

From 2000-2011 Mark served as President of Process Marketing Group, St. Louis, Missouri.  Mark was also the Vice President of Rose Manufacturing Company, a manufacturer of fall protection equipment. While with Rose, Mark served on the OSHA Committee responsible for the revision of fall protection standards, and worked with the United States Navy to develop their fall protection standards. He has served on an ANSI subcommittee for fall protection standards and has taught at the OSHA training institute on fall protection.



Cancellation without penalty may be made up to five working days prior to the seminar date.  Cancellation after that date will be charged 50% of the fee.  You may avoid this charge by transferring your registration to another person.  Registrants who do not cancel are liable for the entire fee.  ALL REFUNDS WILL BE IN THE FORM OF A CREDIT VOUCHER.  This cancellation policy is standard with all Iowa-Illinois Safety Council sponsored programs.
